My first ever portraits !!!! What a fantastic challenge and experience it was !

Art by Debra Rousseau: I am a self taught artist,I believe God has blessed me with talent and honor Him through my art. I began sketching and painting at a young age. I find much inspiration in the beauty of God’s creation. In 2002 an opportunity to create hand painted kitchens and pieces of furniture was presented to me. Creating incredible ambiances in stunning homes. This is when I realized this is all I want to do “ have a brush in my hand to create beauty………. I have always had the burning desire to a full time artist, I took a leap of faith in 2006 when We moved to Cape Town, my philosophy around art as a business is to produce art which is accessible to a broader spectrum of people, at a really affordable price, as I make & refurbish most of my own frames. My work has a strong realistic influence, sometimes bold, sometimes minimalistic, sometimes Fun. I have successfully done many commissions. Knowing a painting, brings a client joy every time they look at it, is the ultimate satisfaction !! My work has been acquired by people all over the world.... “Art for me is not merely a job or a business, but it’s my passion.
